December 17 @ Italian Cultural Institute in Osaka, Japan

The documentary film Fukushima: A Nuclear Story is back in Japan. After the screening at the Italian Cultural Institute in Tokyo in the presence of the former Prime Minister Naoto Kan, the documentary film directed by Matteo Gagliardi and produced by Teatro Primo Studio will fly to Osaka for a free public screening at the Knowledge Theatre, organized by the Italian Cultural Institute in Osaka. The film has been included in the program of the DIM (December in Music), a festival now in its third edition, which brings quality shows and artists who would never otherwise perform in the Land of the Rising Sun, to Japan. The closing performance of the festival will be by Enrico Rava, an Italian jazzist very active on the international scene, who will perform alongside Japanese musicians. Teatro Primo Studio-Film Beyond is honoured and happy that our documentary film is being screened again in Japan and in such a prestigious location.
Fukushima: A Nuclear Story’s screening is scheduled for Saturday 17 December at 2 pm at the Knowledge Theatre in Osaka.

October 2 @ Berlin, Germany

Fukushima: A Nuclear Story, which was awarded the prize for Best Documentary Feature at the Uranium Film Festival in Rio de Janeiro 2016, will be screening in Berlin, during the course of the German edition of the largest international festival dedicated to exploring the issues surrounding the use of nuclear energy. The documentary film will be presented in the German capital on October 2, Sunday, at the presence of the director Matteo Gagliardi. The film-revelation produced by Teatro Primo Studio is coming to Germany.

October 19 @ Days of Cinema

Teatro Primo Studio- Film Beyond has the honor of participating, with Fukushima: A Nuclear Story, in Days of Cinema, the festival that has animated Palestine these last three years. The films that participate in the festival and that come from every corner of the earth become a token of the international solidarity attributed to this afflicted and suffering land: for this reason, we are glad that our documentary film has been selected. “Fukushima: A Nuclear Story” will be screened on October the 19th, during the course of the festival that takes place in different cities in Palestine from Wednesday, October 15 to 21 in 2016.

July 22 @ SiciliAmbiente

Fukushima: A Nuclear Story, directed by Matteo Gagliardi and produced by Teatro Primo Studio- Film Beyond, is in competition at SiciliAmbiente, the international festival that showcases documentary films, short films and animated movies that deal with environmental issues, sustainability and human rights, which will be held at San Vito Lo Capo in Sicily from 19 to 24 July. Co-screenwriter Pio d’Emilia will be present at the screening 22 July in Sala 1- Giardino.

July 30 @ Social World Film Festival

Fukushima: A Nuclear Story, directed by Matteo Gagliardi and produced by Teatro Primo Studio – Film Beyond is in competition at the Social World Film Festival, which will take place from 23 to 31 July 2016 in the beautiful setting of the Sorrento Coast. The director Matteo Gagliardi will be present at the screening that will be held at Museo del Cinema in Vico Equense Saturday, July 30 at 10pm.

AWARD // DIG AWARD – Long Reportage

Fukushima: A Nuclear Story, directed by Matteo Gagliardi and produced by Teatro Primo Studio – Film Beyond, was awarded the DIG  Award in the long reportage section, ex aequo with #MyEscape. Co-writers Christine Reinhold, Matteo Gagliardi and Pio d’Emilia accepted the award in Riccione in the course of the closing night of the festival.

June 25 @ Pesaro Doc Fest

Fukushima: A Nuclear Story by Matteo Gagliardi and produced by Teatro Primo Studio- Film Beyond, will be present at the Pesaro Doc Fest, a festival directed by Luca Zingaretti and dedicated to documentary films centred on social issues and lifestyle. The festival will be held in Pesaro from the 24th to 26th of June and the documentary film will be presented Saturday 25th at 9pm on the central stage situated in Piazza del Popolo.

June 24 @ DIG Awards

Fukushima: A Nuclear Story is one of the three finalists selected for the Long Reportage section of the DIG Awards, the Italian festival whose aim is to showcase the work of those who search for the truth through the medium of investigative reports and documentary films.
The documentary film, directed by Matteo Gagliardi and produced by Teatro Primo Studio – Film Beyond will be presented at the Cinepalace in Riccione, June 24 at 5.45 pm. The director Matteo Gagliardi and the two co-writers Christine Reinhold and Pio d’Emilia, who is also the protagonist of the film, will be present at the screening.

AWARD // Best Documentary Feature

“Fukushima: A Nuclear Story” has been awarded the prize for Best Documentary Feature in the context of the sixth edition of the International Uranium Film Festival, the most important international festival dedicated exclusively to the topic of nuclear energy, which is held each year in Brazil. The award ceremony took place Sunday 29th May 2016 at the MAM in Rio De Janeiro.
